Jean Smith's SPAGHETTI for the Holidays

Ingredients:

1 lb Italian sausage

1 lb lean ground beef

1 onion, diced

5 garlic cloves, minced

2 tbsp sugar

2 tsp Italian seasoning

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1/3 cup chopped parsley

12 oz tomato paste

15 oz fire-roasted tomatoes

28 oz crushed tomatoes

1/2 cup chicken or beef broth

1 Ib. Spaghetti, cooked

Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

·  Brown sausage, beef, onion, and garlic. Drain grease.

·  Add sugar, seasoning, salt, pepper, parsley, and tomato paste. Stir.

·  Pour in diced and crushed tomatoes with broth.

·  Simmer 1-3 hours. Pour over noodles and garnish with Parmesan.

·  Use immediately, refrigerate, or freeze.

·  Simmer longer for deeper flavors!
